Going Down

Click on all of these twice.
Meditate deeply.
When you take flight in your dreams.
You can meet us here.
And we will soar together!
When you wake, please write to me about what you saw.

The journey down, was a quiet meditation.  I concentrated only on placing my feet on stable ground.  Peace!

  1. These pictures are magnificent. Did you have a walking stick? I get vertigo when I look at these full size!

  2. Oh Butternut, such an amazing journey.

I love the way the Nepalese have carved out their small fields on the side of the mountain.

  3. Yes, I used Grandma's walking stick so much that I had blisters in my hand.

  6. Yes peaceful and awesome. Just the view with the blossoms overhead and the green on the terraces made me sigh.

Curious about what the guide is holding. Is that a cell phone? Is there cell service even there?

  7. Yes, JR was carrying a cell phone. He is not just a trekking guide, but also the English teacher at the village school. School was in session while we were traveling, so he was keeping in contact with the principle of the school. When the satelites are in position, there is cell phone service even on Everest.

My husband called me from the top of Aconcagua (South America),almost 23,000ft, on a tiny satellite phone like that, just incredible i think.
